help broken-ink screen

hi guys i am new to this forum and would like to thank all the people who keep this thing going.now i feel in love with the PE and had to get a big one. i used my good eBay skills to lad one. now i messed got a micro card stuck in the mini card port .so had to take it apart to get it out,should have just left it but it got to me. so i am good at taking stuff apart usually, but messed up and broke my e-ink screen.didnt see the middle screw in the outside of case until it was to late.any way looking for replacement .hoping someone bricked there's and would like to sell it or you guys know of some where to get 1.really upset at myself, really loved reading this at nite in bed.i have 4 or 5 PE in different states of running all in like new condition to trade or sell .thanks a lot for any help

Sorry I can't help with an e-ink screen but I do have a question. How did you manage to confuse a micro SD card with a standard SD card slot, or did you try and put the micro SD card in the SIM card slot?

oh its a sim card slot welll i didnt think they would even take a sim card.just thinking it was a mini card slot because of the size of it.man i should have just left it in there but maybe could have shorted something out.at least i got the lcd side still working and a backup PE to read with at nite

They don't take a SIM card although to pads are on the circuit board for the SIM holder and the necessary components.

As I said in another thread I would love to completely strip one down and produce the circuit and full parts list - hint to anyone that might know where I can acquire - but until I have a spare I will not do it and we repair computers and notebooks for a living.

hi ya i think i read that 1.i wouldn't mind helping out if i can at least re cope some of my lose for the unit. i have a ? for you i have 2 PE that have white screen issues. i tried re installing old rom .even taken a good screen out 1 and put it in the white screen 1 and still white. so i am thinking maybe a bad wire or bad broad. i also have 1 that works fine but cant see screen that good,like the led is bad.ether way i am out 150 $ for the EE and will never find 1 again for that price thanks for at least responding to love your site very helpful
