How to not see certain books

My kids are trying out my extra e-reader and I have transferred some books they asked to try (from the library) from my PC to the PRS-505 using Calibre. I created a tag for each of them so I can easily find their books. However, when I am using Calibre for ME, what is the best way for me to NOT see their books?

Thanks!

Try the following in the search bar (substitute your tags).
Code:
not tags:"=Kid1" and not tags:"=Kid2"
then save as a search by entering a search name of your choice and clicking on the save search button (right end of search line). Now go to the drop down for restricting your library (left side of search) and choose your save search. Now your library will show all books except those with your kid tags. To get out of this restriction use the drop down again and choose the blank entry at the top.

Good Luck.

Just adding an option,

how about separate libraries for each of you?

I use this for work related tech manuals; my fiction; and my girl friends fiction.

it's also easy to move books between libraries from the 'right click on book' context menu -> 'Copy to library' option.

Hope this helps

Multiple libraries are definitely an option.

Setting saved searches and using the "restrict to" drop down restricted library option allows you to effectively have the same unlimited libraries without ever creating a second library. Once a restriction is set it will be treated like a unique library until the restriction is changed.

Thank you dwanthny and Shadewing. Both suggestions are very helpful.

I used the search string not tags:"=Kid1" and not tags:"=Kid2" and it worked perfectly and I saved it as you suggested. This is exactly what I was looking for.

If they want to keep reading using the ereader, I will create a separate libraries for them so that suggestion is helpful as well. I think they will eventually want to manage the books on their own computers. And then they will probably want an e-reader with more bells and whistles than the Sony PRS-505.

Thank you again for the help.
