Must share my near calamity.
This morning my large partially-trained puppy pulled a scarf off a dresser. A very loud thunk as my PE fell three+ feet onto a tile floor.
Briefly considering dogacide and fearing the worst I didn't turn it on for a couple of hours. Incredibly it fired right up! Could not believe it. Tried most every app—library,eReader—and everything runs as always. Maybe some luck involved but attribute my escape from eDGe-lessness to the quality of the device. Has anyone else had such an experience...or the reverse? |

I had a jornada 880 some years ago, had just unboxed it (used) it slid off my work bench onto a concrete floor (4-5 ft) and landed on a corner. Chipped the case but powered up and I used it for couple years without problems.
If screen survives they seem to be fairly good survivors. Have a new LePan tablet that took a three ft drop the other night and survived. Ohhhh that feeling when you hear them hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
