Using iPhone 4 wall charger to charge kindle touch

Hi
I was wondering if I can use my iPhone wall charger to charge my kindle touch
Since I can connect the USB cable that I got with the kindle
Touch to the iPhone adapter charger?
Does anyone try it?

I tried charging my Kindle Keyboard with the Iphone charger, but it did not work. The Kindle never charged.

However, I am able to charge my Iphone with my Kindle charger successfully. I do that all the time.

Strange. The Kindle should charge fine from any USB wall charger. My iPhone/iPad charger works just fine with the Kindle. Perhaps the cable wasn't properly pushed into place?

I almost always charge my Kindle from either a generic (i.e. Chinese cheap and cheerful) 12-volt USB charger or a 220-volt one, never been a problem.

The Kindle wall charger is rated at 4.5 volts @ 0.85 amps. If your iPhone wall charger is rated at those levels or higher it should work (unless it's output is not wired as a standard USB).

I tried it just a few weeks ago, while i was on vacations in the beach (i hadn't a pc with me, just the iPhone's wall charger and the usb cables), and it worked like a charm...
