Yikes. Yes, that would not be good. That's another one I am watching for a drop, since it is free from B&N (or was, earlier, anyway).

Who on earth would pay $60+ for a non-specialty/reference/academic e-book? Even regularly, the three individual books only add up to $42 CAD, and one of them was already freebied.

I might perhaps be persuaded to part with the cost of one of FT Press' business shorts ($3.99) for one of their pop science books, but their "collections" are seriously and disproportionately overpriced.

No argument from me on that. It's worse that decades old backlist from Penguin being priced at retail/list with the MMB. Then again, business books are notoriously overpriced, as many publishers expect the employer to be paying for these.

I do wish people would not nick an interesting title and stick on the front of an otherwise .....well, dry sounding, shall we say, tome to make it look/sound more interesting.....

I suppose to stand out from a vast array of similar treatments you need some sort of a hook....
