is there a red PRS-950?
hello all,
just a quick question. Is there such thing as a prs-950 in red? Or would it be a prs-600? I am buying something off craigslist and before I try to this guy's house I would like to know, I can't tell from the pictures he sent me because both models just look alike. Is there a way to tell them apart? thanks |

As far as I know the PRS 950 only comes in silver.

A red one would be a PRS-600 or PRS-650. The 950 only comes in silver. There can of course be a decal skin on it, but the actual device is silver.
The model number of the device can be found on the back. |

It could be a PRS-650, an awsome device! But id a PRS-950is what you're after (and I can understand that, LOVE mine) it's still wrong!

Make sure it is really a PRS 650 They are very superior to the PRS 600. Actually, I can hardly even sell my PRS 600 for a decent price. The PRS 600 is the model with all the glare on the screen

If the device photo is somewhat clear....
PRS x50 series have a rounded edge under the center button on the front side under the screen. The x00 units have all straight or rectangular edges on the center button see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Reader |
