Calibre MOBI Icons

Hi,

New to this forum. I previously downloaded Ebooks and converted them
with Calibre to MOBI.

I recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled Calibre 8.41
upon viewing my MOBI Ebook all worked find however I noticed that
the MOBI icon on each book changed from a Blue book looking Icon to a stack of horizontal books, somewhat like Cailbre's application and desktop
icon. Only mine is white with colored books.

I then deleted Ver 8.41 and tried ver 8.21, the one I used orginally.
I got the same Icon with both versions.

I do know I can change the applications Icon but...???

The program works fine , is everyone els getting the same Icons?

... but did you reinstall Kindle for PC?

The nice blue icon on my system is one installed by Kindle for PC.

You can change the Icon for shown for Mobi in the System file manger (Explorer).
(mine is an 'Amazon' icon that probably came with Mobipocket program.)

It can be any Icon you want (that is available on your system).
What you are seeing is the 'last' program installed, contribution

to the confusion.

Hi,

Thanks for your answers. My BAD as they say.!! I think I've been at the keyboard too long reinstalling after reformatting. Even with a disk back up via acronics!

I reinstalled Kindle PC and --pop! All set

Don't know how I didn't think of that.

My Electronics background should have popped in but didn't!!!!

Too pooped, time for a cold one
