K 2 TTS on K Touch or way to slightly speed up default male voice?

I use Kindle's Text-to-Speech on a daily basis for hours a day. The best version (in my opinion) was the one put on the Kindle 2 and K DX (first and second gens - don't know what it's like now). In later versions, as if a way to appease authors over the audio book issue, the default speech rate was slowed down to make it sound more computerized and I believe the male voice was also changed. I have purchased and tried all subsequent generations of the kindle and the quality severely lacks. Sadly, I'm rather attached to the K 2 male voice but loathe that I can't enjoy any of the new features of later generations. I've decided that I could give up the comforting voice on K 2 for the latest K Touch but would need to find a way to slightly speed up the default setting. Or, I'd love to be able to take the K 2 voice pack and put in on the K Touch. I would truly appreciate any advice anyone may be able to share with me on this topic. Is something like this even possible? Any suggestions on how I may go about it if it is? Thank you in advance for any guidance shared.
