Adding only mobi books to calibre to change metadata
Is there a way to select mobi books only from a long list of folders? I need to get only mobi books so I can edit their metadata but do not want to go folder by folder--- have everything grouped by authors and there is a long list of them. Several have gotten screwed up and author and title fields are reversed. Would like a way to add books by format only.

search formats:mobi
or use the formats section of the tag browser to help

Control-A or the little square above the row-numbers: selects All (showable view)

theducks, I think Carolina means to select from directories to add to calibre. Or am I mis-reading you, Carolina?

You may be right .

windows search could search for (folders) files of type Mobi, you can select the results and copy them off to a temp folder to play with

Don't even need to do that; you can add them to Calibre directly from the Search Results screen.
