where could I find the img file for rootfs of kindle
Hello,
my kindle 3 3g got something wrong and I have to reflash the rootfs. but I don't know where to find the image file for rootfs of kindle 3g. I've found a image for wifi version. But i don't know the differences between 3g and wifi version. Could anyone help me ? |

The differences may include driver support for ppp, what is the issue with your rootfs?

my problem is the keyboard lost response in kindle system.but ok in recovery menu. |

I extracted the img i've found on the net to my kindle's partition1 (650MB),but it becomes much more bad. boot up stop at the tree.
lucky, I've backup that partition before do it.so i've restore it. I've found that the files in /partition1/lib/modules/2.6.26-rt-lab126/kernel was not destroyed ,which was same as the one in the img i've download from the net. so , which directory should I check ? |

I replaced these files by the download img:
/etc/init.d /etc/rc.d /etc/rc0.d ... /etc/rc6.d /etc/rcS.d and then reboot, what? I've found there's 4 keys response! they are: up, down,left, right. it surprised me , what happened? |

aha, I've repaired my kindle successfully!
I've thought that my key drivers was destroyed and replaced my old one with the one i've downloaded. but this noon, i restored the drivers for my own.it works! Thank you very much! |
