Furthest page read and bookmarks disappear!

Hi all,

I’m not living in the US, so can’t buy books from Amazon. I use Calibre to transfer my own mobi books to the Kindle Fire. The problem is sometimes a book will lose all the bookmarks and furthest page read, and this seems to happen randomly. I’m not trying to sync bookmarks or anything, I just want the Fire to retain the furthest page read. Does this happen to anyone? It’s very frustrating.

I have not rooted the Fire or installed any apps, basically just using it as a e-reader only.

The only time something similar happens is if/when I remove a book and put it back on, in which case it appears to be "new" even though it really isn't.

Either that, or I just don't pay much attention to it when it does happen. I'm largely scatter-brained like that.

Sorry, I cannot help, but yes, that happens to me once in awhile too. I'm not sure what to do about it either. Sometimes it will also say my furthest page read is the end of the book even though it's obviously not, and even though I never even went to the end of the book at any time.

I had same problem. finally converted my books to epub and installed Mantano reader app. You can setup collections with Mantano.
