Set Calibre to Ignore Device?

first off, i'm (very) new to the forums, but i've already gleaned a TON of great information! i recently purchased a Kindle Touch, which i absolutely love (and funny enough, when eReaders first came out, i thought they were the dumbest thing ever...oh, how i've changed!) i also downloaded and have been using Calibre (on Ubuntu 10.10) and it's a great piece of software. plus, i'm a huge fan of open source, which is icing on the cake!

anyway, i do have one issue: i often have my Blackberry connected to my computer for various reasons (including tethering for internet once in a while), and if i don't connect my Kindle FIRST, Calibre always wants to connect with my BB. and even if i connect my Kindle before my Blackberry, once i disconnect (or even just "eject") my Kindle, Calibre automatically switches over to my BB, but won't switch back to my Kindle if i reconnect it. i don't read ebooks on my Blackberry (i tried once for about two minutes, and it was terrible) and don't need Calibre to recognise it at all.

if i only tethered my phone occasionally, it wouldn't be a big deal, but my Blackberry is connected to my PC quite often. i looked in the preference menus but couldn't find anything. is there maybe a plugin i can install in Calibre so that i can either set it to "ignore" certain devices, or be able to manually select the device i want to interact with?

again, it's not a deal-killer and Calibre has been immensely useful. it's just an annoyance that i'd like to try and find a solution for (i mean, aside from constantly having to unplug my BB, which may be tethered for internet at the time.)

thanks!
