Just start a new library - click on the library button on the toolbar (the one with the books and the count underneath it) and choose the option to create a library at a new location.

You can then if you want use the ability to switch between libraries and the right-click on books of "Copy to Library" to move books from your old one to a new one. Or just add the books from your old library using the normal Add button options, and delete your old library when done.

I realised deleting actually doesn't remove it from the computer.

I have a follow up question.
I'm filling the library with a couple of thousand book.
If I select them all and then want to convert all of them to epub, will it skip books that are already in epub format?

It will give you a dialog allowing you that option. Your choice.

No, it usually asks "do you..."

to avoid this: search
Code:
Not formats:EPUB
IMHO convert in tiny chunks of 10-15 books. Some can take minutes. Some can take hours.

Can't find the setting where you can decide where Calibre stores the books.

<tip> If you want to know where a book is:
Select a book: Tap 'O'
This will open to the Books folder. You can use the Up-a-Folder Arrow (in Windows), which takes you to the Author folder: One more time takes you to the Library folder

Remember the #1 rule No change any Library file or folder name. Period.
or great will happen.

Yeah, I know, read the second stickied.
I have a SSD as my main drive, and don't want to fill it up with books.
That's why I asked
