Accessing Calibre from other PC's

I enable web sharing but the http address listed does not work, is there another address I should be using to access my library through the web?

What address did you use?
192. series are 'Private' addresses and are not assessable directly off (outside of) of YOUR network.
Any PC on your network CAN use the 192 address
ever PLACE else, you need to set up 'Port Forwarding' to link the Outside World to the designated PC

You need to use your computer's IP adress if you are going to use your library from outside your home network. Or you can setup a dynamic DNS to get a virtual adress and forward port toward the right computer if you have several connected on your network.

Wow! thought it would be easier than that. I am going to try the USB portable download. If that does not work I will work on your suggestions.

Blocking outside (world) access is a great idea unless subjecting you system to Hackers and Identity thieves is your thing
Port forwarding is the process of opening a Pin Hole in your firewall.
Any hole has risks. A pin hole has a smaller risk.
