Error on startup
On trying to start Calibre on a Windows 7 (x64) PC, I get the following error message:
"Python function terminated unexpectedly. No module named winutil (Error Code 1)." What can I do to correct the situation? Thanks |

Re-install calibre and disable your antivirus which I'm guessing is Norton

No module named winutil (Error Code:1)
I have been running calibre for a long time. Recently swapped to an SSD, now get Python function terminated unexpectedly. No module named winutil (Error Code:1). Can't install new version, can't uninstall old version, can't open calibre. Used regedit to remove calibre entries. Install appears to complete now, but get same error message trying to launch.
At my wits end. Then I deleted the calibre2 folder and reinstalled - presto! Last edited by ZedPM; 01-20-2012 at 06:10 PM. |
