restoration package doesn't work
hi, I have upgraded to the last firmware, rooted with the minimal-root (using the alternative method: extract the archive and reboot manually the device).
All seems working fine. Now I want to go back and remove the root.. I tried with the restoration package as mentioned in the wiki, but nothing happens, the reader still seems to be rooted. Any suggestion? |

ok, I tried to add some files to the minimal root package (under /system/bin/) but they're not added o the system.. so I think that for some reason the updates are not installed...
is there some way I can debug the update process? (maybe add some echo > somefile to do-update.sh?) |

it turns out that after rooting the T1, I can't install others update via sd recovery... (restoration, enable_adb, modified home)
I tried with the standard .bat procedure and manually. In the boot process, the screen flashes and restart as a normal update, but nothing is really installed.. Also, there's no update log in the Reader partition, so for some reason the update doesn't even start.. I can't even install the adb update and trying to debug |

Restore T1 to factory settings (or factory reset) and retry...
I don't know the exact words to use... I always see them in spanish... You can see more people with almost the same problem and the same solution here Last edited by j0534ng31; 01-23-2012 at 11:07 AM. |

yeah,
I tried to do again a factory reset, and I've done rooting + adb + home + reader update without problems. This is quite annoying since if it will happen in the future I have to restart once again and loose all settings. I'm wondering what is causing this problem and if it is possible to debug the update process with adb... btw, thanks
