Has anyone tried this service?

They describe themselves as the netflix for ebooks - and they have a good number of titles, from what I can tell.

I am curious, but could not find any reviews, comments, feedback.

But $15 per month is pretty steep. With work in my way, I read 2-3 books per month. And many ebooks I can find for dirt cheap... so I don't think I currently spend more than $15 per month on books. And, of course, I get to keep them...

I guess being able to peek at things before buying them is nice... but many places offer previews, nowadays...

Also, I use SONY readers and an iPad. If anyone has tried deleted while using those devices, I would love to hear specifics...

I agree. Especially since their "selection" apparently includes DRM-free versions of books from major publishers. (Or they want it to look that way, but either way it smells the same.)

Anyone know anything about copyright laws (or enforcability) in Barbados? That's the jurisdiction they're operating in.

It is a scam. They are getting you eBooks they've illegally downloaded. Do not waste your money. When did you ever see a legal Star Trek eBook come in HTML? NEVER!

While there have been and will be many debates about what exactly piracy is, I have no doubt that deleted is a clear definition of piracy in action. A pirated textbook definition.

The DMCA link at the bottom is a clear indicator. They are making money while hoping they won't get a takedown notice.
