read kindle ebooks on my kobo touch

Hello,
I beg your pardon if this has already been explained elsewhere, but, I'm a newbie and need your help : I found a book that seems interesting to me, but... on the kobo website, they have juste the two lasts in the serie... I search for the firsts and they are available but at Amazon... So, I have Kobo desktop, Calibre and ADE. Is it possible to convert the books I'd buy at Amazon so that I can read them on my kobo ? I don't want to "pirat" the book, but it's a bit frustrating not to be able to read the serie by the beginning furthermore if it's a good one and you can't read the whole serie

Books from Amazon are a different format (mobi rather than epub) and so they would need to be converted before you can read them on your Touch. Calibre will do this quite well.
However most ebooks will have DRM which stops you from converting them. Removing DRM is not allowed to be discussed on MR.
If you google "Aprentice Alf" you will find a lot of information to help you.

Also try emailing the publisher and asking for the books.

If they're already available on the kindle store, it's probably a mistake that they are not on the kobo store.
