Updating books

Is there a way to update a book in the library without having to delete it and then add it back in? I want to do this even if the filename has changed.

If I was to make changes to a different copy, I then want to be able to replace it keeping the fields I have added data to such as tags.

Drag and drop the updated format into the books Formats box in the metadata edit window.
No other tests are done... Get it into the right book

It will update that format on closing the editor (don't move or delete source until you close the window)

BTW I am more a visual kind of guy, so I prefer to use this way, where I see what book I am about to affect (and I believe I can Abort, right up to the Edit end).

It is possible, depending on your 'Add' book settings, for it to simply update the existing.
The Above cares less as to filename or internal metadata (hence the warning)
