Kindle not detected

My kindle was fine one week ago. Plugged it in today and it was not detected. I ran the debug as instructed in the forum and posted below what it said. Help please.

Go to preferences->plugins and re-enable the Kindle 2 plugin.

Thanks....did that and had the computer checked and cleared up. Between the two things, all is well now.

This happened to me as well... I have a suspicion as to what may have caused it: I think I may have had Calibre open when I disconnected my Kindle and forgot to formally "eject" it. Evidently, the "bad things" have happened....
