Hide the Page Counter?
I picked up a PRS-T1 for myself a few days ago and overall it's pretty good.

However, I can't seem to find an option to switch off the Page X of Y text at the bottom of the screen. Normally it's not an issue, but it seems to cut off the bottom of book covers, which is slightly annoying.

Is there a way to turn this off?

It is not the fault of the page counter, but the fault of a poorly made ePub. The cover can be made to fit in full.

It looks like it was a badly formatted ePub, which forced the cover image to be displayed at it's exact dimensions and not scaled. A quick convert operation in Calibre (from EPUB to EPUB) has solved this though.

Bad idea. Now you have extra margins on the top and bottom of every page and you could have other issues. The best solution is to take the original ePub and give it a fix in Sigil. Sometimes it can be as easy as adding height="100%" to the cover page XML file.

If you want to go back to the original ePub, what I'll need is the original cover XML and the size of the cover image in pixels and I will send you back XML code to use in the cover XML. Then you can keep the original ePub.
