Can't email to kindle from calibre - error

Hello!

I am having trouble emailing to kindle basic from calibre. I have no trouble putting books on my kindle 3 via usb, but when I try to email it gives me this error:

IOError: Failed to send mail: error(10060, 'A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond')

I made sure the gmail address is a trusted sender on amazon, and I am sending to the kindle email address from calibre. The file is not too large. I checked on amazon's website to see if there was some sort of message to accept, and there is nothing showing on the kindle either. The kindle is connected to wi-fi.

Any ideas as to what I am doing incorrectly? I appreciate any help I can get! Thanks so much!!!

I figured it out! I hadn't set up my Use Gmail option even though I had set it up with my gmail account. Some other questions on the forum helped me figure this out. Thank you all!!!
