Five Novels Monthly/Magazine
Five Novels Monthly started in February 1928 under the unusual imprint of "Eff-Enn Publishing Corporation", a division of Clayton Magazines, but by 1930 the publisher was listed as "Clayton Magazines". Clayton ran the magazine on a regular monthly basis for five years until Dell Publishing took over in September 1933. Dell maintained the monthly schedule for almost ten years until the paper shortages in World War II forced it to a quarterly schedule (and a consequent name change to Five Novels Magazine). It briefly regained a bimonthly schedule in 1946 and 1947 before folding after a single (quarterly) issue in 1948
