tripadvisor apk will not install on Vox
I downloaded the tripadvisor app from GetJar. I then tried to install the downloaded apk file, but got a simple message that the app would not install. Any reason why this particular app does not want to install itself.

Try searching for the app someplace else and see if a different one works. I may look myself when I get time, so I'll let you know if I find one...

Thank you for your reply.

I had found another app store (forget which one) and downloaded it. The same thing happens.

Although I like the Vox, I find getting apps a pain. I think I would have gone with a 7" Acer Iconia tablet that has been selling for $249.00 - $299.00 here in Ontario.

Look at the permissions on this page:

Is it possible it requires either cellular or gps to operate? (of which the vox of course has neither)

Device: Lots and lots of electronic gadgets...
I haven't tried to get this app for my Vox, however, I do have it on my iPod touch which only has a wireless connection so I wouldn't think the having cellular capability would be required but I believe the gps could be the problem...the iTouch does have a form of gps, which the Vox doesn't.

I have an iPod Touch and so I am happy again, although my reading glasses will have to be used.
