Dictionary

Is it possible to use the in-built dictionary without having to select a word in a document?
In other words, can the dictionary be used as a stand-alone selectable unit.

OR

Would installing another dictionary as a downloaded book be suitable for the purpose of selecting and defining words?

?
Yes. the dictionary can be found on the second page of the homescreen. Once you open it you can search for words (it shows a list of possible matches as soon as you start typing).

Thanks for your response. However, I don't have a second page to the homescreen.

There is a page for "Settings" where i can select the dictionary type (and a few other things), and "More" which only has "Audio", "Pictures" and "Handwriting".

Sorry, I was talking about the new T1. Seems like I looked at the T1 tag of another thread when I replied to yours.

I'm pretty sure that you can, but I don't remember exactly how. Try double-tapping on a word to bring up the dictionary and then tapping the little book icon in the definition window.
