News automagically placed on device

I was downloading some news while my e-reader was still connected. I suddenly noticed that this news was also automagically copied to the e-reader as well. This was not what I wanted, so I searched for an option to disable this behaviour. I could not find one. Where should I have looked?

Look at the Preferences: Behavior
there is a tick box.
