importing to Touch from K3

I have not seen this issue posted anywhere, so here goes:
I cannot get my collection to import from the kindle keyboard to the touch or k4pc if the collections were created by either the calibre plugin, or any other computer program.
However, IF you create the collection manually, the collection is sent to the amazon cloud, and will import to the touch.

Thinking it was the manual update, I tried to manually change the name of the automatic collections on the K3, but still no update on amazon.

I have a large number of collections and want these on the touch.
Any ideas?
