Rubber pads for slick tablets
I always disliked that most tablets are so dang slick that it makes them harder to hold than was necessary. And despite the soft back, I think the Kindle Fire is one of them.
I just improved the situation a lot by putting on the back of the KF a couple of soft real-rubber pads I found last year: http://ereaderjoy.blogspot.com/2010/...ber-grips.html Eolake |

Thanks, very kind of you. I was surprised at how many (like a dozen) different products I had to find, buy, and try, before I found one which worked.
(The round pads seem to have gone out of production, I hope not.) |

Why not just get a silicon skin instead? I plan to get one later on. That and a screen protector should protect the Fire pretty good and make it easier to hold or you can get a Marware case which has a nice hand holder which I love to use on my K4. I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I have many cases for my iPad especially, but they all add weight.
I've tried a silicon skin, and it does help some, but I found that the rubber pads are about twice as good, and also (for the iPad), the device still fits in most stands. |
