Problem upgrading!

I'm stuck on 0.8.20. I've uninstalled it and upgraded to a newer version and it still says 0.8.20. Is there an exe somewhere else on my computer I need to delete? I've even tried Calibre portable and it still runs 0.8.20. Need help!!!!

Is there an asterisk after the version number? If so this would indicate that you are set up to run from source - and source always takes precedence over the binaries.
