strop kindl from starting the screensaver
Hello Comunity,
I have a new kindl and already installed the the wallhack with the screen saver hack. The different screen saver pictures are working nicely and without any problems. Now to my Question, i want to stop the kindl from starting the screen saver after 20 minutes ore something like that. Is there a possibility to increase the time to a value something like two hours before the kindl is starting the screen saver? I want to start the screensaver only by using the trigger on the bottom. Thank you to anybody which is willing to help me. Greetings alexander |

Alternatively, you could check out kaffeine, "the sleep manager for kindle". |

Hello,
keep note of the changes that you have done. Next time that you try to upgrade your kindl the upgrade will fail. The upgrade checks all the files in the original system. If it finds a difference, it will abort. I keep a copy of the original file (with .orig suffig) and a list of the files that I have modified so I can revert the changes. Cheers i$ |

I've heard other people say that, but I think it's only partly true--I recently successfully upgraded my kindle without reverting any of the multiple changes I had made in the root fs (including even system scripts being deleted or replaced with links). I haven't done any testing, but I suspect that the update procedure only checks files if they are going to be replaced with changed versions. But anywhoo... just wild guessing here. Idollar is absolutely right that you should keep a record of any changes you make to your kindle after a mntroot rw.
