ebook-convert on CentOS(5.7)

I am trying to convert (.epub and .html ) format to pdf.On CentOs glibc version is 2.5.and Calibre supports glibc >2.10.
is there any way to use calibre on Os with glibc2.5.
can I build it from the source?
is it possible to upgrade the dependencies, like Qt and PyQt etc.
Any help appreciated.

The binary install of calibre is the only version supported. Did you install calibre following the binary install procedures found here?
