Book displays some gibberish fonts in Calibre

I opened an ebook (in ePub format) using the latest version of Calibre and some gibberish fonts appeared in some pages.

Any workarounds? Thanks in advance for your help.

Is the book in a single language Only?
Did the book pass Flightcrew or EPUBcheck?

Was some odd font called for with no alternate available.

(please don't post a copyrighted book here) Although a screen shot of a sample gibberish page should be OK.

Notice that â appears where inverted commas " or apostrophe ' is used.

The correct texts should read as follows:

A wrong codepage was used/guessed in conversion.

Change the codepage in the Conversion screen for THE BOOK, Not in Preferences


My WAG is try Uni-code for this one (appears to be 2 bytes per char)
