Unable to edit metadata

I've just upgraded to 0.8.24, running the LInux version on a 64 bit AMD Ubuntu 11.04 installation.

When I try to edit the metadata of any book in my library (either new additions or books in situ before the upgrade) I receive the following error message:

calibre, version 0.8.17
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>ImportError</b>:cannot import name SpooledTemporaryFile

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/actions/edit_metadata.py", line 174, in edit_metadata
File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/actions/edit_metadata.py", line 190, in do_edit_metadata
File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/metadata/single.py", line 21, in <module>
File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/metadata/basic_widgets.py", line 36, in <module>
ImportError: cannot import name SpooledTemporaryFile

I'm then returned to the normal library management window (for want of a better description).

I've tried reinstalling calibre to no effect, so I'd appreciate any suggestions, advice etc.

I've checked on bug tracker but thought I'd ask here first before logging it as a bug.

Thanks,

Ian

Issue now solved - for some reason I needed to reboot to get the upgrade to work properly.

It pays to read your own posts - the clue was in the version number at the start of the error message!
