I would love to know how to permanently delete books from my kindle archives!

Log on to your acct on Amazon.com and go to "manage my kindle." Delete them from your library. I assume that makes them unavailable for future downloads, but I don't really know.

Yes, if you delete from Archives, you no longer own the book, and would have to repurchase it in order to download it again.
