I am maybe missing something here but its a while since I used the WH Smith site to buy books but I can't remember any problems until now.

So I go to their website to get Charles Stross Rule 34, book is there costs £5.99 all very good but when I press buy I get taken to KOBO website which tells me the book is unavailable internationally so tough.

Anybody tell me what is going on, when did WH Smith turn into KOBO

WH Smith switch to Kobo for their ebook store within the last week. See this thread.

From what I understand, they expect it will take a week or so for all of the books to be there.

There are two english language versions of Rule 34 at Kobo. ISBN: 9780748116355 is available in the UK. So, there are two possibilities: a) WHSmith is linking to the US version instead of the UK version, or b) you are registered as a US (say) user on Kobo.

Unfortunately, Kobo's "unavailable internationally" page tells you nothing about which combination of ebook and user registration caused the problem. I suggest searching for 9780748116355 at Kobo, if it comes up and the price is in pounds, then (a) is likely. If it comes up as unavailable (or no search results), you have a country registration mismatch.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the ISBN number you gave and got one hit which bizarrely was this

So now totally confused but if thats the way WH Smith are going then they can count me out.
