Just joined-need advice
Hello, I have just joined this forum and would be grateful for a little clarification.
I got a new Kindle because I thought it would be useful to download travel guide books. We always seem to go away with a suitcase full of useful references on our holiday, but find them too heavy and cumbersome to carry out with us. I would appreciate some information about converting books from the epub format so I can read them on my Kindle. Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like you need to get hold of calibre, the free, open source, cross-platform ebook organiser and format converter.

Although if your ePub ebooks have copy protection (DRM) you'll also need to remove that before calibre can convert them.

Explicit advice on how to remove DRM from eBooks isn't permitted here, but I can tell you that Apprentice Alf might be able to help. He has a blog somewhere.
