Question Not sure WHERE to ask this one

1. I have worked out alot of how to's as far as saving my book names in my library the way I wanted them to end up as far as those in series sets. BUT

I have one issue I would LIKE to do in going back and looking at file names- but am not sure WHERE to do it or even IF it can be done in Calibre.

I would like to put the series name inside of brackets rather that just plain. CAN this be done in Calibre without doing each book one by one by one in the metadata area? Or is this better left to a file renaming proggie?

2. As far as books NOT in a series I end up with - in places I don't want them but since it is in my series wording it puts the - in on non series books as a filler. DO I need to have two different working sets...one for series books and one for non series? I do all of it right now in the save to file area.
Hopefully I am making sense

DID GET HELP as far as renaming with OPUS and other info provided here in the forums. Just still would like to know if it could be done in Calibre rather than using a different proggie. THanks

Since you read the sticky about Calibre's internal file names

You should look at the template formating for saving to disk/sending to device. Put them square brackets where you want them in the template.

TY Duck...I actually did try that first but it kept giving me an error code and would not allow me to add the brackets where I was attempting to.

Did more reading and will try it again with the update we got today and see what it does. Knowing me I am making it harder than it needs to be lol. My fuzzy Old brain sometimes just does not get it right away thanks to me meds ugh. I appreciate the help.

I still have not figured out how to make the non series ones show up without all the extra - in them but am sure along the way with trial and error will get there :-)

UPDATE
YAY for advanced editing was able to get the non series problem fixed. Will let ya know if the bracket issue is solved as soon as I can play more.

YAY again...I got the bracket issue done now thanks for the patience of folks here when I am stuck! - I was trying to put it in the wrong place!!!!!!!!

Also getting the hang of regex now too to get rid of stuff I don't want in conversions and the more I use the different areas the easier it gets!

DON'T GIVE UP noobies like me --the more I play the easier it gets honest!
