The Real Mother Goose
This is not new, but it is something that every person with a library should have. The Real Mother Goose used to be a staple in every household in America. I can tell you as a teacher that most children today don't know Mother Goose, and those that do know it incorrectly or incompletely. The Real Mother Goose is the definative, and the illustrations (you can get it without images, but don't) give us a glimpse of life in Colonial America. And for us oldsters, it's fun and nostalgic. It's free at Project Gutenberg and may be available other places as well. Here is the link to Project Gutenberg.
