special character in metadata search

Hi, a lot of the books I read have "C++" in it but it seems the metadata search doesn't handle "+" properly and therefore it always gets empty results. I had to remove the text "C++" and whatever's before it to hope for a partial match.

Is there a workaround or fix for this?

Plus is in the group: special character
they must be escaped when included in the search term.

search: C\+\+
