Does Calibre automatically converty PDF to .mobi to correct dimension ?
I don't bother to make 6 inch pdf, so can I convert my pdf files to .mobi directly, and read them on Kindle ?

In theory, yes. The size shouldn't be a problem. Read this sticky post "Read this before Posting PDF Questions" for more info.
