Talking Transferring content already on PC to K4PC

Hi,

Can somebody please tell me how I import content or PDF content to be more specific already on my PC to the K4PC?

Also, can you change the font size in the K4PC and if so, how?

Thank you

HB

PDF's are not the very best format for Kindle or Kindle software. However, Calibre do a relatively good job in converting to .mobi for Kindlereading.
Or you can send your .pdf to your Kindle's "@kindle.com" address.

Changing font (and/or) size is easy. Click on the "Aa" icon on the toolbar once you've opened a book.

Tools-> options->content shows you the directory where K4PC gathers it's local content. Either move your books into that directory or change the directory to point to where your books are. Works for any files K4PC can read (including PDF's as long as it's K4PC 1.7.0 or higher. Maybe 1.7.1, I forget).

You can't change the font-size of PDF files in K4PC, but you can change the overall magnification of the document by zooming in or out. Use the dropdown box that has the percentages in it.

Non PDF books opened in K4PC will have an "Aa" button that allows you to change font-size, words per line, and such.

Or just double click the file in Windows Explorer. If K4PC is the default handler for Mobi books (which it probably will be), the book will automatically open in K4PC, and the book will be copied into "My Kindle Content".

I was going to suggest that same thing, but then I remembered the OP was concerned primarily with PDF's (or at least that's the impression I got). I thought it rather unlikely that the default app for PDF's (on most computers) would be K4PC. That's why I chose to focus on the "manual method" to cover all the bases.

True. In that case, as you say, simply copy the file into "My Documents\My Kindle Content" (on a Windows machine).
