Science journals recipe through barf.jcowboy.org

Hi,

I used for some time already rss feeds of several science journals (including Nature, Science, etc.) from barf.jcowboy.org on my Palm TX. Now I moved to a Kindle 3 and would like to transfer the feeds through calibre. I tried to make a recipe by just entering the url: for example for Nature:

http://barf.jcowboy.org/nature.xml

This works to a certain extent - however, the format is not correct and not all abstracts are shown compared to the display in a web browser.

Can someone suggest how to modify the recipe to get a proper format?

Thanks in advance

George

I found a solution myself. With the following recipe - everything works very well.

title = u'Nature feed'
oldest_article = 7
max_articles_per_feed = 100
no_stylesheets = True
extra_css = '.heading { font: serif large }'
use_embedded_content = True

feeds = [(u'Nature', u'http://barf.jcowboy.org/nature.xml')]

I think this is a great way to aggregate PubMed data for a large number of scientific journals through barf.jcowboy.org and calibre for the kindle and other e-book readers.

I attach here the recipes for several scientic journals. They will transfer the headlines and the article abstracts of the following journals onto your reader using calibre:

Nature
Science
Cell
Molecular Cell
The EMBO Journal
The Journal of Cell Biology
Nature Cell Biology
Nature Structural and Molecular Biology
