Question Is there any way to change font size on 3.1 firmware?

Hello!
I used my kindle with 3.0.3 firmware and marks in reader.pref file. I changed FONT_SIZE = from 21 to 22 or 23. It was pretty nice size - the middle between 3rd and 4th sizes in Aa menu. It looked nice and my eyes weren't tired. Then I updated to os 3.1. Nothing changed but then somebody droped settings to default with Aa menu. Now I'm trying to change font size to 22 or 23 but it doesnt work. If I change size to 22 or 23 it looks like 25. I mean that the hack doesnt work like it did at 3.0.3. Is there any way to change font sizes which I can choose via kindle menu? I mean modify kindle system. 21 size is too small for me. I know that I can't downgrade my firmware.

You can do what I do: use a font editing program to tweak a font to the exact size you want. This will take a bit of trial and error, ie, lots of uploads and reboots.

Which program do you use?
I dont understand why 3.1 firmware doesnt support the font size's change in reader.pref file.

I use fontcreator by high logic. As far as I know, the reader.pref trick still works in 3.1. It's just not giving you the fine control you want, eg, 26,27,28 may give you the same font size, so it seems like it's not working, but if you jump to say 34, then you'll see a change.

On the menu, click tools > glyph transform.

For range, select "all"

Expand Outlines. Double click Scale to add it to list on right. Select Scale on right.

Now adjust the params. You can make it slightly larger, say 103%, or slightly smaller, say 97%, as you like. Click apply. Save the font ( use file > save as to preserve original)

You can play with the weight of the font, making it bolder or thinner. Use glyph transform tool, select Effects / Bold or Effects / Thin.

Remember how the font looks on your computer isn't how it will look on the kindle. You just have to load it on and see. Restart kindle to make new font take effect.

Experiment and have fun.

Thank you for your response!
I have just changed serif font in the font hack folder(linkfonts) and I think that it works.
I have problem with fonts because not all of them have Russian (cyrillic) letters. With them I can read only English books. I'm looking for Kindle standard(native) font ttf file to change it.
Thank you
