Market apps on Edge

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but the information I've seen so far about getting Market apps on Edge seem to assume you don't have a device with Market access. However, I do have such a device.

What procedure is involved then? I'm not even talking about paid apps, just free ones like Dropbox or Pandora which used to be available on Entourage Store but are not available on Amazon App Store. (I had to restore OS to my PE and wiped out the apps I had previously installed—mostly for the better <g>).

Both Dropbox and Pandora are available at Android Freeware Lovers.

The way I would do it:
using

adb pull /data/app/<name>.apk

from the phone, then,

adb install onto eDGe.

adb installed along with Android SDK.
To get apps from Android Market I use emulator

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=market&page=5

but since you already have an Android device you can skip this step.

So, I have followed every guide on here. I have my gmail, I have the Tubes of You, google maps... all that working, on the ermine 1.01.002 kernel you guys have put together. Fine and dandy, it is!

I cannot for the life of me get the market working. I have tried using the Titanium method from my Droid 2 phone, and I've tried using the Cyanogen gapps zip file, all to no avail. I still get server errors, although with the older version of the market I can see the terms and conditions screen behind the big grey error box.

Any thoughts? Anyone? Before I go stark raving mad(der)?

I don't know if it's applicable but I had tweaked my lcd density and that kept the new market from working , old market worked fine. Changed lcd density and new market worked. Thread title "Marketplace update problem". While this may not be related it shows that system changes can affect things in strange ways. Also try the "New firmware" thread for clues or ask there. Keep plugging away you'll figure it out.

Could someone please explain to me this obsession with being able to access the market? So far I've not seen a compelling reason for wanting it.

Specifically because I use G+ and G Music and want to see if I can get them to work. There are apps that are only available on the G Market that I want to use, that loading from my rooted and modded Droid 2 won't function.
