Removing a thread

Hello all!

I'd like to delete the thread I posted in the author self promotion forum and post a new one in its place. Is this possible?

If so, how do I do it?

If not, is there a way to change how the title of the thread appears on the forum board?

Hi, matthew

We don't normally delete threads. You may use the "Edit" button to edit/update the information and it is helpful to post that you have done so. That way, if a member has already read your original post they may see that information has been changed. You may have noticed that some authors will add: Update: and post new information after it. The same may be done with using Edit:. A lot of times authors have made a new post with the additional/new information (so the thread will show that a new comment has been posted to the thread) and they go back to the first post to Edit or Update with that information.

As to changing the title of a thread, only moderators are able to do so at this time. Please PM (Private Message) me or another moderator (our user names are in green) about the title change you would like made.

You may also wish to use the "Report Post" button

(under your avatar, at the bottom of the post - little blue button to the right of the "Karma" button) and let us know what title you would like on the thread.
