ePub from MobileRead is all bold
I downloaded a book from the MobileRead library: Three Men in a Boat by Jerome Jerome. In Calibre and on the Sony the book is entirely bold. I seem to recall someone else here had the same issue? It had to do with the file encoding or something? Anyone know how to fix this? Or another well-formatted source for this public domain book?

BBeB is another name for LRF, I think, so it should be readable on your PRS650.

I tried the epub on my own PRS650. It looks OK on mine. It has an embedded font, Fontin, so it may look a bit different from normal.

I looked at it too and it looked fine on my 950. I also looked in the code and saw no indication anywhere of bold print being used throughout and read the entire thread of the development of this ebook and didn't see any indication that anyone thought bold was used throughout.

In reference to the other versions. If you use calibre then download the mobi(prc) version add it to calibre and convert it to epub. Also you could open the original epub in Sigil and remove the embedded font and see if that makes a difference..

Hmmmm I confess I downloaded the book a long time ago and now I'm not sure which I downloaded. Anyway, I dl'ed the epub above and I can see the embedded font in Calibre. Haven't tried it on my reader yet, but I can already see that it's completely different from the one I downloaded before.
