Question Changing Font Size Increment in PRS x50

Hello all!

Introduction:
I’m still searching for a possibility to change the font size increments in my PRS350 for EPUBs.

Discussion:
Font- size-increments in X50 series are too large for a lot of users – at least for me. I made a work around with several CSS-files. But this method is a bit cumbersome for you have to close the book, open another book, reopen the first one until fonts change their size.

PRS+ offers the possibility to change step-wide for LRFs. Or did I miss something? LRFs aren’t EPUBs?
Anyway, it doesn’t work with EPUBS. I could use LRF instead of EPUB. But then it would not be possible to use CSS. Which is important to change fonts and margins.

I’m a bit confused because in this thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=134032
the same question arouse (changing font size increment for EPUB and PDF). The answer was given for changing it for LRFs.

Question:
Is there any chance to change font size increment for EPUBs?

Thanks for ideas (or just writing back it’s not possible ;-)

To my knowledge it isn't possible to change the font-size-increments for epub & pdf, both renderd with the adobe ADE-viewer.app. Where the increments seems to be hard-codet into.

For epub you can use custom/userstyle.css to control the font-base-size.
For PDF's maybe landscape-mode with border-cut is a possibility.

Thanks. That's what I feared.
So the ADE-viewer.app is responsible for both, PDFs and EPUBs. That's why I couldn't find an Epub-viewer...
And I'm not able to understand HEX- or Binry-Code ;-)

Often did I ask myself how hackers could do such things. Changing hard coded triggers in an EXE-file.

A.

With the right tools to disassemble, knowledge of (processor specific) Assembly language, decades of experience and a fair amount of time, it isn't that hard.
