Can't find "stealth" Kindle title I downloaded

I posted this message to Kindleboards and then realized that this forum was probably a better bet!

I downloaded a book titled "Relatively Guilty" from Amazon last night. I tried to import it into Calibre but it wasn't in my "My Kindle Content" folder.

I went back to Amazon and had the book sent to my desktop Kindle for PC. It still wasn't in my "My Kindle Content" folder. I double-clicked the book in Archived Items to download it. It still wasn't in my "My Kindle Content" folder.

I plugged in my Kindle to my computer, opened Calibre, and searched the Kindle library in Calibre. "Relatively Guilty" wasn't there (although another book I downloaded that same night was there as expected).

The only place "Relatively Guilty" shows up is on my Kindle itself and in Kindle for PC.

So where is this "stealth" ebook and how can I import it to Calibre to place in my Calibre library?

When you sort the "My Kindle Content" folder by date, is there no file with a timestamp of around the time you downloaded it?

Go to you My Kindle Library page on amazon and download the file to your computer manually.

Kovid, I already did that.

Harry, I took your suggestion...which to you seems obvious, but to me was sheer brilliance...and found the book, downloaded it to Calibre successfully.

Could not convert it to epub, though, for reading on my Kobo due to DRM, despite the plug-ins.

And there, I guess the discussion must end.

If you have "the plug-ins" I say it is time to update them. Check out Apprentice Alf's blog.
