Hello,
I have been just learning to add books using Calibre _ I find it quite easy now that I have fiddled around with it. But I am having an issue. I have 57 books loaded onto my Kobo via Calibre and when I turn on my Kobo, they are all there _ however 55 of them went into my "documents" section on my Kobo and 2 of them went right into the regular 'Books' section? Does anyone know how exactly I have done this? It really would be ideal if I could read all the other 55 books as regular books instead of leaving them as a document? I appreciate any feedback that you may have on this. Thank you very much! Leanne.... ![]() P.S _ I am fairly new to all of this so I "beg" that if you answer my question that you do so with clear instructions so that I may understand it. ![]() |

what format are your books? if they are pdf they will automatically go into the documents folder.
if you convert the pdf's to epub they'll go into the books folder for you. * you can select all of your books (if pdf) in calibre and click the convert button it should be defaulted to epub, once calibre is done doing it's thing you can send all of the books to the kobo. if, of course, your books are not pdf then i'm not sure. you'll have to let us know what format they are in first before we could go further. |

Check the file extension on your book files. Kobo puts PDFs into the Document section and EPUBs into the Books section.

Hello, I have just checked and all of my books I did convert to epub - so if I click onto a book it will tell me on the right under the cover that they are in ...EPUB, PDF so am I somehow loading the books in the wrong format ? WHen I have my Kobo plugged in, and I go to what is on the device it says that they are all loaded in epub.?
I am confused. Is there a way of deleting all the other formats the books are in and leaving only the epub then delete them from the kobo and add them back on? maybe? Thank you for your help, I can not say enough how much I appreciate this! |

Select book or books with left click or shift left click on Calibre's book list. Right click on selected books brings up remove books options including remove books of specific format.
