Screen slightly shiny/reflective
Does anyone else think the K3 screen is ever so slightly shiny/reflective in fairly-low-light? Not enough to make it unreadable, but enough to notice?
Or have I got a duff Kindle/duff eyes? |

All screens reflect light to one degree or another. The Kindle's is on the low end of the scale, I'd say. The Dell laptop that I'm writing this on now has a screen that makes a pretty good mirror

Paper is still superior in this department, contrary to what Amazon states in their advertisement. It's still 100x times better than non E-ink screens, though, and in most situation it does works really well.

To me, it depends on the light source and where it's directed. I sometimes use an LED light to read at night, and it took some doing to get it angled just right to not cause a wonderful bloom right in the middle of the screen.

I've found it to be very slightly shiny, and got a matte screen protector film for it. That dulls it even more, but you have to be careful not to dull the text as well =)
